When test candidates sign up to our Global Accommodations and Disability Services (GLADyS) portal to request test accommodations, we collect information about them, including some sensitive data about their category of disability and potential supports that they may require for testing. Candidates are also required to upload confidential supporting documentation which may include medical or psychological reports. We regard the lawful, confidential, and responsible treatment of this information of paramount importance. Information collected in the GLADyS portal will be utilised in the following ways:
- To facilitate the review and processing of accommodations requests;
- To determine disability status and the need for reasonable accommodations;
- To assist your test sponsor in making a final determination about your accommodations request.
Confidential information that you share with us will only be shared with appropriate staff (Paradigm Testing accommodations staff, contracted disability experts, and your test sponsor’s accommodations staff) for the purposes listed above, on a need-to-know basis. We will not re-release this information to any third party without your written consent.
We have taken appropriate measures to ensure that the data on the GLADyS database is secure, including implementing local file encryption, applying an SSL certificate to our website, implementing increased web server protection so that your data is very secure, implementing a staff code of practice around data protection to ensure appropriate use of passwords, and ensuring that test sponsors and 3rd party services and organisations we have to interact with to adequately perform the accommodations review process are in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
